Q. Who should I contact at ICCP if I have questions?

A.   ICCP has 4 Placement Directors who are responsible for various regions of the
      United States.

Q.  How much do we pay participants?
A. 
Regular Program: Salaries differ by job allocation and home country of participant.  The
      salaries include Flight refund and Salary.

Direct Placement / Returning staff:  Salaries are negotiable, but we suggest that the
      salary is the same as an American staff person, with additional thought going towards the
      participant’s transportation costs.

Trainee Program:  Salaries are negotiable, but we suggest that the salary is the same
      as an American staff person, with additional thoughts going towards the participant’s
      transportation costs and length of stay in the States.

Q.  How much is it to register with ICCP?
A.  It’s FREE!

Q.  Can I bring someone back to camp through ICCP, even if they came through  
      another agency in the past?

A.  YES, as long as they meet the requirements of the U.S. Embassy.

Q.  What is the age limit for participants?
A.  Regular Program:  19-30 No exceptions!
     
Direct Placement / Returning Staff: 18+ No exceptions!
     
Trainee Program: 20+

Q.  Can ICCP sponsor visas from any country in the world?
A.  YES.

Q.  What is a visa sponsor?
A.  A visa sponsor (like ICCP) is an organization that is authorized to pre-screen and take
      responsibility for a participant while in the U.S.   It also enables ICCP to issue a DS-2019
      form.

Q.  What is a DS-2019?
A.  The DS-2019 form is a sponsorship form issued to an individual that has provided all  the
      necessary documents, to an authorized agency.  Anyone applying for the J-1 Visa must
      have a DS-2019 form to proceed.

Q.  What is a J-1 visa?
A.  A J-1 Visa is the official documentation issued by a U.S. Embassy (ONLY) which allows
     an individual to come and work in the U.S. for a set period of time.

  Q.  What is an I-94?
  A.
  An I-94 is a document issued by the U.S. immigration on entry to the States, which
      officially grants entrance into the U.S.

Q.  What is SEVIS?
A. 
SEVIS stands for Student Exchange Visitor Information System.  In the interest of
      homeland security the U.S. Government put SEVIS into place to help track participants
      on the J-1 visa program.

Q.  Can International staff perform any job at camp?
A. 
NO.  ICCP offers 2 categories of visa sponsorship through the Regular and Direct
      Placement / Returning staff programs:  The Camp Counselor category and the Support
      Staff category.  The Participant must work under the category that is assigned to the
      person.  Example:  A support staff person cannot work as a counselor.

Q.  Can the visa be extended? 
A. 
Regular Program:
NO
     
Direct Placement / Returning staff: NO
     
Trainee Program: YES, as long as it doesn’t exceed the maximum stay of 18 months.

Q.  Does ICCP offer any other programs?
A. 
ICCP offers 4 programs: Regular, Direct placement / Returning Staff, Trainee, and the
      Winter Work Travel program.  ICCP is also part of the International YMCA, which offers
      many exciting programs.  You can get more information at this website:

Q.  Must my camp be a YMCA, to use ICCP’s services?
A. 
NO.

Q.  What if a visa is denied?  What is the refund policy?
A. 
ICCP Regular Program:
  IIf a visa is denied you must contact ICCP and inform us to receive a
      full refund.

     
ICCP Direct Placement / Returning staff:  If you notify ICCP within 15 days of the visa start
      date, you will be eligible for a $200 refund.
     
Trainee Program: 
In the event of a program cancellation, YMCA will refund 100% of the    accident/illness insurance and 50% of the program fee, if written notice is submitted to YMCA within 15 day of the DS-2019 start date and prior to the trainee's arrival in the U.S.

Q.  How can I see available participant applications?
A. 
When applications for our Regular Program are made available you can search for
      specific staff skills, or country, through our
ICCP APPLICANTS ON-LINE feature.  You will
      need your Username and Password to access this system.
