At Flying ‘G’ Ranch one of the main events that the camp has at least once during the summer is International Day.
A Wide Game is set up throughout camp with different International stations set up by the international counselors. Girls are taught games, songs,
dances, crafts, a story or snack from each country represented. Then dinner is planned around international food, many times the counselors cook it, for
all the girls to participate in.
How did the activity increase international understanding and/or cultural
awareness among your campers and staff?
The girls through their evaluations usually rank this activity as their favorite and parents also tell us that their
children talk about this day upon returning home.
