MISSION PROJECTS IN TIJUANA, MEXICO |

YMCA Camp Surf offers groups the opportunity to provide service to Mexican YMCAs, schools, and orphanages.
Up to 30 participants can sign-up for 2, 3, or 5 day mission projects in Tijuana, Mexico. The Camp Surf staff will work with group leaders to
arrange the experience.
How did the activity increase international understanding and/or cultural
awareness among your campers and staff?
When American and Mexican youth work side by side to improve a facility, friendships grow. Lunch served by the Mexican
children’s parents followed by an interpreted sharing circle answers many of the children’s questions plus realizing we are all the same.
