YMCA of the Rockies
is one of the largest YMCA conference centers
and family resorts in the world. It has two
facilities: Estes Park Center (EPC) and Snow
Mountain Ranch (SMR). Training opportunities are
in the following areas:
Guest Services: 1 (EPC) 1 (SMR)
Recreation & Program Operations: 1 (EPC) 1 (SMR)
Arts & Culture: 1 (EPC)

Requirements:
All applicants must have Excellent English
speaking and writing ability in the field
applying for. The Human Resources and Facilities
Management applicants must know how to drive.
It is preferred that they have an International
Driver’s license. For the Recreation and
Programs Training at SMR, they can pick from the
various phases offered depending upon their
interests.
All applicants must complete not only the International YMCA’s
requirements for the application but also the
YMCA of the Rockies which includes filling out
an online application, submitting 2 professional
references and 1 family reference:

Indicate the application is for the YMCA of the
Rockies Training program and the area preferred.

Program Fee:
Participant pays $990 of total $1880
program fee. Total fee
includes program placement, SEVIS fee, medical
insurance.

Stipend:
$180/week plus 3 meals and free housing
·
Additional Benefits: Trainees can take an e-Cornell class. Total cost is $175 for the
course for each trainee. YMCA of the Rockies
pays $100 and participants should expect to pay
up to $75 for course fees. These fees are
subject to change.

Additional Information:
All applicants will be interviewed by Jacie Gdovicak, Director of
International Programs at YMCA of the Rockies.
In some cases managers at both EPC and SMR will
want to interview the applicants.
Both EPC and SMR are in isolated locations with no public
transportation and it is cold in the winter.
Once pre-screened by International YMCA applicant will be
instructed to fill out the YMCA of the Rockies
on line application.
