Packing

Most airlines will allow you to take two pieces of luggage totaling up to 30 kilos, but you will regret bringing so much lug-gage. Not only do you have to carry the luggage, but you will want to bring back more than you take. Try packing your lug-gage and carrying it for a half kilometer or so to see if it is comfortable for you. We suggest you limit yourself to 15 kilos. Travel in comfortable clothes and carry a pullover.

If you plan to do any traveling around the United States, a backpack is much easier to manage than a suitcase.

Pack according to the season(s) of your stay and your destinations.

Remember that you may have to go a whole week between each time you wash your laundry, so bring enough clothing to get through one week during the summer.

Do not bring valuables. You may have difficulty finding a secure place for them.
