Tabarre, HAITI

I am a 25 year old dynamic Haitian woman with a degree in International relations and willing to have a master degree in International Development.

As far I can remember I’ve dedicated my time to community work in my country especially after the earthquake. I mostly work with children and young adults in field like sports, leadership and entertainment. I am an art lover, event planner, traveler and now a YMCA volunteer. I like to dance and to read.

My experiences as a Youth leader includes the planning and the execution of activities, programs, events, projects and processes that can improve the living of people around me or at least put a smile on the face of a child.

I am very proud to have been selected to be a group leader in this activity called Youth Ambassadors Program. It will be a pleasure for me to lead and accompany the teens through this great adventure!

Yvon Baptiste

My name is Yvon Baptiste. I am from the central part of Haiti (Mirebalais) and currently live in Port-au-Prince.

I graduated from the USAID/ CASS scholarship program managed by the Georgetown University with an Associate Degree in Environmental Studies in 2006. I also went to the state University of Haiti where I got some training in Business Administration and law, but I yet to complete my degree. Since  I returned back  from the states, I have dedicated myself  to work  with children and youth  in a voluntary  basis. I  work as well with adults graduated from the CASS/SEED program and others in job seeking.

In September 2009, I traveled for the US embassy to attend training on NGO’s Civic Activism. This trip has taken me to a lot of places in the states   where I have worked with high school students and community leaders. Recently I have planned and organized two networking conferences for International NGO’s and the program alumni in Haiti. Two months ago, I was so surprised when the US embassy in Haiti has referred me to the YMCA to become one of the Youth ambassador program leaders. I look forward to meeting all the groups and work so that we can work together.
